Accessing interpreter services
If you'd like an interpreter, please let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange one in advance.
The interpreter can help:
- by being with you in person
- on a video call
- over the phone.
You can ask for an interpreter for your next appointment. Your doctor may also ask for an interpreter when they make a referral for you to go to hospital.
You can get after hours and on-call emergency services at the hospital by:
- pointing to the interpreter symbol at the front desk
- pointing to the Auslan symbol at the reception desk.
More information and resources are available through the Refugee Health Network.
You can find Ezidi and Yazidi refugee video resources on the HealthWise website.
Please bring along any cards you may have been provided including your ImmiCard, Medicare card, and Kobi Card.
