It is a requirement that Darling Downs Health seeks value for money for the Queensland taxpayer through its procurement activity.
Our Commercial Management Unit (CMU) oversees tendering and procurement.
We manage our tenders, procurement and contracts in line with the Darling Downs Procurement Procedure and Contract Management Procedure. These both align with the Queensland Government Procurement Policy 2021.
Our Contract Management procedure clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders at each stage of the Contract Management process.
For all procurements of more than $250,000, consultation with the CMU is required. This ensures an appropriate tender process is undertaken.
All open tenders processes are posted on the Department of Housing and Public Works, Queensland QTender website, which lists our tender opportunities that are upcoming, current or closed.
The Procurement and Logistics - Use of Contract and Supply Arrangements directs the use of Whole of Government and Department of Health Standing Offer arrangements and supply arrangements. You should read this Directive in conjunction with the Queensland Procurement Policy 2021.
All contracts must be reviewed by the CMU and the Health Service’s Commercial Lawyer prior to signature.
